We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee key financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the organization’s financial integrity and reporting accuracy. Based in Utica, New York, the role requires someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in managing general ledger activities and month-end close processes.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.<br>• Oversee general ledger operations, including maintenance and reconciliation of accounts.<br>• Conduct thorough reviews and audits of financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable standards.<br>• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.<br>• Prepare and review journal entries to maintain accuracy in financial records.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and financial reviews.<br>• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures while identifying areas for improvement.<br>• Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.<br>• Monitor accounting systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.

• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role.<br>• Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger management.<br>• Expertise in financial statement audits and account reconciliations.<br>• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing journal entries.<br>• Familiarity with accounting software and systems.<br>• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.<br>• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.<br>• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
