We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Utica, New York. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial processes. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in managing month-end close procedures and financial statement audits.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead and manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.<br>• Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.<br>• Conduct detailed account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Prepare and review journal entries to support accurate financial records.<br>• Coordinate and support financial statement audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.<br>• Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to improve processes.<br>• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records through regular monitoring and reporting.<br>• Develop and implement best practices for accounting procedures and workflows.

• Proven experience in managing month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.<br>• Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and account reconciliation.<br>• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing journal entries with attention to detail.<br>• Familiarity with accounting principles and compliance standards.<br>• Excellent analytical skills to identify discrepancies and improve processes.<br>• Effective communication skills to coordinate with auditors and internal teams.<br>• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a contract role.<br>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
