We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Syracuse, New York. The ideal candidate will contribute to the financial success of our organization by managing key accounting tasks and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process daily invoices for customer orders and freight shipments to ensure timely billing.<br>• Distribute customer invoices and monthly statements via appropriate channels.<br>• Reconcile production and shipping records with orders for month-end and year-end accuracy.<br>• Assist in conducting annual physical inventory and ensure proper reporting.<br>• Support month-end and year-end accounting processes, including reconciliations.<br>• Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.<br>• Handle general ledger tasks and ensure consistency in accounting practices.<br>• Collaborate with the Controller on various accounting assignments to meet organizational goals.

• Proficiency in corporate tax-related tasks, including sales tax and corporate tax returns.<br>• Strong ability to create and manage accurate journal entries.<br>• Solid understanding of general ledger processes and accounting principles.<br>• Experience with month-end and year-end reconciliations.<br>• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in financial reporting.<br>• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.<br>• Prior experience in inventory accounting is an advantage.<br>• Familiarity with accounting software and tools is preferred.
