Cost & Inventory Manager
<p>We are looking for an experienced Cost & Inventory Manager to join our team in Seymour, Connecticut. In this long-term contract role, you will oversee inventory management processes and cost analysis to ensure accurate reporting and effective operational strategies. This position requires a hands-on approach and a strong ability to handle complex transactions and reconciliations.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee the transfer of inventory between systems, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and managed.</p><p>• Coordinate physical inventory activities, including cycle counts and reconciliation, while utilizing new inventory counting tools.</p><p>• Identify and manage excess inventory, determining whether items should be sold, discarded, or returned to vendors.</p><p>• Analyze and address challenges related to work orders and BOMs (Bill of Materials) with multiple line items.</p><p>• Ensure new inventory and related data are accurately loaded into systems within specified deadlines.</p><p>• Support segregation of duties (SODs) by verifying appropriate access levels and responsibilities for team members.</p><p>• Conduct cost accounting tasks to monitor and report inventory costs effectively.</p><p>• Provide strategic insights on inventory processes to enhance operational efficiency.</p><p>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance with organizational standards.</p>
• Proven expertise in cost accounting and inventory management.<br>• Strong knowledge of inventory analysis and reconciliation processes.<br>• Experience conducting annual physical inventory and cycle counts.<br>• Ability to manage large-scale inventory transfers and complex BOMs.<br>• Proficiency in identifying and resolving excess inventory challenges.<br>• Familiarity with ensuring compliance in segregation of duties (SODs) within organizations.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Ability to work 100% onsite in Seymour, Connecticut, as required.
