Full Charge Bookkeeper
We are looking for a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Selma, Texas. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and financial management, particularly within the construction industry. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently while meeting critical deadlines.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings.<br>• Accurately process payroll on a weekly basis, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.<br>• Manage accounts receivable by invoicing clients, recording payments, reconciling accounts, and addressing overdue balances.<br>• Handle accounts payable tasks such as matching vendor invoices, coding expenses, preparing payments, and resolving discrepancies.<br>• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and ad hoc analyses to support decision-making processes.<br>• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.<br>• Collaborate with external accountants or auditors to ensure compliance and support audits when necessary.<br>• Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and relevant regulatory requirements.<br>• Utilize accounting and payroll software to streamline processes and increase efficiency.<br>• Apply industry-specific knowledge to manage financial activities related to construction projects.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, including proficiency in payroll processing.<br>• Familiarity with accounting and payroll software, with advanced Excel skills.<br>• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable practices.<br>• Previous experience in the construction industry is required.<br>• Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.<br>• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.<br>• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.<br>• Experience with ADP payroll systems and weekly payroll management is highly desirable.
