Full Charge Bookkeeper
We are looking for a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee the financial operations of our retail business in San Antonio, Texas. This contract position requires someone who is detail-oriented and can manage bookkeeping tasks from start to finish, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of accounts. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with QuickBooks Online and a strong understanding of accounting principles.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks Online, ensuring accuracy and completeness.<br>• Record daily sales transactions, bank deposits, and cash register activity in a meticulous manner.<br>• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice entry, matching, and timely vendor payments.<br>• Handle accounts receivable tasks, ensuring prompt and accurate processing of payments.<br>• Perform routine bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.<br>• Generate and present sales and financial reports to management for informed decision-making.<br>• Prepare organized financial data for collaboration with external accounting firms for monthly and annual reporting.<br>• Manage sales tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.<br>• Handle 1099 preparation and maintain accurate general ledger records.<br>• Assist leadership with any additional financial tasks or reporting needs as required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping, ideally within the retail industry.<br>• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced knowledge of Excel.<br>• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.<br>• Solid understanding of accrual accounting principles and reconciliation processes.<br>• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.<br>• Experience with sales tax filings and 1099 preparation.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.<br>• Effective communication skills for collaborating with management and external accounting firms.
