The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and expertise in government finance. Responsibilities:• Oversee accounting operations and maintain compliance with government regulations and standards.• Manage lease accounting and agreements, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to GASB standards.• Prepare and review financial statements in alignment with government audit requirements.• Collaborate with federal and local government agencies to address financial matters effectively.• Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and manage financial data.• Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of financial transactions.• Provide guidance on government programs and regulations impacting financial operations.• Conduct audits and assessments to ensure financial processes align with regulatory requirements.• Communicate financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership.• Support the organization during financial reviews and audits.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance or accounting roles. • Expertise in GASB standards and government financial regulations. • Proficiency in lease accounting and managing lease agreements. • Advanced knowledge of Excel for financial analysis and reporting. • Strong familiarity with federal government programs and operations. • Experience in conducting government audits and preparing financial statements. • Excellent communication skills to present findings to executives. • Ability to collaborate effectively with government agencies and stakeholders.
