This M365 Engineer will lead the migration of approximately 44 employees from Compass’s Microsoft 365 tenant to our client’s Microsoft 365 environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in tenant-to-tenant migrations, coexistence setup, and data integrity assurance throughout the transition process. Apply today!</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Details</strong></p><p><strong>Duration:</strong> 2 month contract </p><p><strong>Location: </strong>100% Remote </p><p><strong>Schedule: </strong>Monday - Friday 8 to 5 pm PST </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and execute the migration of 44 user accounts from Compass’s Microsoft 365 tenant to the client’s Microsoft 365 environment.</li><li>Ensure coexistence between tenants during the transition, maintaining seamless access to mail, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive resources.</li><li>Configure and manage Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra, SSO policies, and domain integrations to align with security and compliance standards.</li><li>Perform full user data backups (mailboxes, OneDrive, Teams, and file data) and restore content in the target tenant to minimize downtime and data loss.</li><li>Manage Exchange Online administration, including mailbox migrations, email routing, and calendar sharing in a cross-tenant environment.</li><li>Develop and deliver concise workflow documentation and one-page end-user guides to support IT staff with knowledge transfer and operational continuity.</li><li>Collaborate with internal IT teams (not end users) to ensure a smooth and controlled migration process.</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p><strong>Requirements / Must-Haves</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience executing Microsoft 365 tenant migrations, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra, SSO, MFA, and domain/tenant integrations.</li><li>Hands-on experience with Exchange administration and mailbox migrations in coexistence or hybrid environments.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to perform system backups, restores, and data containerization for business continuity.</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills, with experience creating IT documentation and workflow diagrams for technical teams.</li></ul><p><br></p>
