Property Manager
We are looking for a dedicated Property Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Scarborough, Maine. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in property accounting and a proven ability to manage financial processes efficiently. Your expertise will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage all aspects of property accounting, including financial reporting and reconciliation.<br>• Utilize Yardi software to maintain accurate records and streamline accounting processes.<br>• Oversee month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting.<br>• Implement accrual accounting methods to properly record revenues and expenses.<br>• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.<br>• Prepare and analyze financial statements for property performance evaluation.<br>• Collaborate with other departments to address accounting-related needs and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies.<br>• Identify opportunities for improving accounting workflows and systems.<br>• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
• Proven experience in property accounting, with a strong understanding of financial principles.<br>• Proficiency in Yardi software for property management and accounting.<br>• Expertise in performing month-end close processes accurately and efficiently.<br>• Knowledge of accrual accounting principles and practices.<br>• Strong skills in managing and reconciling general ledger accounts.<br>• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements effectively.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
