Accounting Specialist
We are looking for a meticulous Accounting Specialist to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. This is a Contract to permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to various accounting functions while gaining valuable experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be capable of handling both routine and complex tasks with precision.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and employee expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.<br>• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions by preparing and entering transactions.<br>• Oversee customer credit management and ensure timely updates to account records.<br>• Maintain and update accounting records in the organization’s system, ensuring data integrity.<br>• Perform account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Assist with billing functions, including generating accurate invoices and tracking payments.<br>• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and ensure efficient workflow.<br>• Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.<br>• 1–2 years of experience in accounting preferred, though strong academic performance will be considered for recent graduates.<br>• Familiarity with SAP or similar accounting systems is required.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.<br>• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.<br>• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.<br>• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and billing functions.<br>• Solid understanding of account reconciliation and general accounting practices.
