We are looking for a skilled Cost Accountant to join our team in Santa Ana, California. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a manufacturing environment and is passionate about analyzing financial data to drive operational efficiency. The role requires a strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting, with an emphasis on collaboration across departments. Responsibilities: • Evaluate and analyze manufacturing variances, including usage, labor efficiency, and scrap, to pinpoint actionable insights for leadership. • Track and assess cost drivers to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization. • Support the monthly close process by preparing journal entries, reconciling inventory accounts, and analyzing operational data using tools such as Excel and Power BI. • Update and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead associated with manufactured and purchased products. • Conduct monthly inventory valuations and ensure accurate reconciliation of inventory accounts within Dynamics 365. • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to assess the financial impact of new products, process changes, and capital investments. • Perform physical and cycle counts periodically and enforce compliance with inventory control standards. • Assist with the annual standard cost roll and budgeting processes to ensure accurate financial planning. • Travel occasionally to coordinate with production facilities and oversee operational requirements. • Develop and implement cost accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and industry standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting, with a focus on manufacturing environments. • Expertise in standard costing, inventory accounting, and analyzing cost variances. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Dynamics 365. • Knowledge of medical device manufacturing and regulatory compliance is advantageous. • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate across different teams. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently. • Fluency in Spanish is considered a bonus.
