They are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager who will oversee the finance team, manage the books, and partner with leadership to keep projects and budgets running on solid ground. What You’ll Be Doing<ul><li>Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, and job costing.</li><li>Manage month-end and year-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.</li><li>Prepare financial statements and reports for executive review.</li><li>Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.</li><li>Lead and mentor a small accounting team, providing guidance and training.</li><li>Collaborate with project managers to track costs, budgets, and profitability.</li><li>Support audits, tax preparation, and compliance with GAAP and industry standards.</li></ul>Why This Role is ExcitingThis isn’t just an accounting position — it’s a chance to become a key decision-making partner in a construction business that values accuracy, transparency, and growth. <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus).</li><li>5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in management.</li><li>Construction industry experience (job costing, WIP schedules, retention billing) strongly preferred.</li><li>Proficiency in construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300/Timberline, Procore, or JD Edwards).</li><li>Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with executives and project teams.</li></ul>
