We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in San Diego, California. This role involves managing payroll operations for a diverse workforce while ensuring compliance with multi-state regulations. With a focus on accuracy and efficiency, you will play a key role in onboarding, offboarding, and addressing payroll-related inquiries. Responsibilities: • Process payroll for a mixed workforce of hourly and salaried employees using Rippling and NetSuite systems. • Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and the outsourced payroll service provider. • Manage onboarding and offboarding payroll-related tasks, including benefits adjustments and pay updates. • Address employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, and related matters promptly and accurately. • Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll regulations and company policies. • Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare reports as needed. • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll processes and resolve discrepancies. • Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of payroll data and adherence to legal standards. • Provide recommendations for improving payroll systems and procedures.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle payroll management. • Proficiency in handling multi-state payroll operations. • Experience with Rippling and NetSuite software is highly preferred. • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and payroll for large organizations (500+ employees). • Strong understanding of payroll compliance, including tax regulations and benefits administration. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and external vendors. • High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
