We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Saint Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will oversee and manage procurement operations, ensuring the seamless acquisition of raw materials and components for our manufacturing processes. This position requires strong leadership, expertise in procurement strategies, and a solid understanding of cross-border trade regulations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage and provide guidance to a team of six procurement specialists, ensuring effective workload distribution and supporting their growth and attention to detail.<br>• Oversee procurement activities for raw materials and components for multiple manufacturing plants, ensuring compliance with trade and regulatory requirements.<br>• Negotiate vendor contracts to secure favorable terms, pricing, and timely deliveries while maintaining strong supplier relationships.<br>• Utilize Oracle systems to create, approve, and track purchase orders with accuracy and efficiency.<br>• Monitor procurement performance metrics, such as cost savings and supplier reliability, to drive operational excellence.<br>• Collaborate with finance teams to reconcile invoices, payments, and vendor accounts, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.<br>• Deliver regular updates and detailed reports on procurement activities and vendor performance to senior leadership.<br>• Identify and implement cost reduction strategies, process improvements, and opportunities for supplier diversification.<br>• Prepare transition plans and documentation to support the onboarding of a permanent Procurement Manager.<br>• Ensure adherence to all applicable trade regulations and corporate policies, maintaining a high standard of compliance.

• Minimum of seven years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.<br>• Proven ability to lead and supervise procurement teams effectively.<br>• Expertise in vendor negotiations and contract management.<br>• Proficiency in Oracle procurement systems and other relevant tools.<br>• Strong knowledge of cross-border trade and regulatory requirements.<br>• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.<br>• Demonstrated ability to manage procurement performance metrics and achieve cost-saving goals.<br>• Familiarity with raw materials, electronic components, and mechanical parts procurement processes.
