We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our client's team in Saint Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks including managing accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy in transactional duties, and supporting special projects. This is a permanent, onsite position within a dynamic and growing organization. Responsibilities:• Process invoices using a three-way matching system, ensuring accurate coding with General Ledger accounts and resolving discrepancies.• Analyze freight invoices for potential overcharges and reconcile freight claims with carriers.• Review and validate weekly billing reports from carrier portals to ensure accuracy.• Handle billing and payment processing tasks efficiently, maintaining accurate records.• Maintain customer accounts, including reactivating inactive accounts when necessary.• Apply payments to accounts and proactively manage collections to minimize outstanding balances.• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

• At least 3 years of experience managing full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Familiarity with purchase orders, freight billings, and freight claims is preferred. • Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is a strong advantage. • Proficiency in accounting software systems, with Macola familiarity being a plus. • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, including formula creation and data analysis. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on clarity and professionalism. • Excellent organizational abilities, time management, and attention to detail to handle multiple tasks effectively.
