Procurement Manager
We are looking for a skilled Procurement Manager to oversee vendor onboarding processes and team management in a dynamic, metrics-driven environment. This role requires strong leadership abilities, cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to ensuring vendor compliance and operational excellence. As a contract position based in Saint Louis, Missouri, this opportunity offers the chance to contribute to strategic business goals while refining team and process development.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead and mentor a team of Vendor Onboarding Specialists, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.<br>• Conduct regular performance evaluations and one-on-one coaching sessions to enhance team skills and engagement.<br>• Oversee the vendor onboarding process, ensuring adherence to compliance, quality, and operational standards.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication and the timely handoff of onboarding packages.<br>• Monitor team metrics, including call volumes and onboarding timelines, to maintain efficiency and quality.<br>• Implement improvement plans for underperforming team members, tracking progress and providing actionable feedback.<br>• Develop outreach strategies, training materials, and workflows to optimize team effectiveness.<br>• Identify and analyze performance trends, recommending enhancements to onboarding processes.<br>• Address risks, bottlenecks, and recurring issues to ensure operational readiness and continuity.<br>• Support hiring and onboarding processes to build a well-balanced and capable team.
• Proven experience in vendor management, procurement, or a related field.<br>• Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on coaching and performance improvement.<br>• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with stakeholders.<br>• Familiarity with compliance and quality standards relevant to vendor onboarding.<br>• Proficiency in analyzing metrics and implementing strategies for operational improvement.<br>• Experience with outbound calling environments and customer service processes.<br>• Ability to identify bottlenecks and develop solutions to enhance process efficiency.<br>• Knowledge of training and development practices to build team capabilities.
