Senior Accountant opportunity with growing Ronkonkoma area manufacturing company. Your role will have you hands-on with all aspects of day to day Accounting, inventory and month close and offers high visibility with reporting directly to ownership. Responsibilities:• Manage month-end closing processes, including preparing and reviewing financial statements.• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate reporting.• Prepare, review, and post journal entries to accurately reflect financial transactions.• Perform account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and identify irregularities.• Oversee inventory accounting processes, ensuring proper valuation and reporting.• Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage accounting tasks and maintain accurate financial records.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support audits and financial compliance.• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance. • Strong knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations. • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and other accounting software. • Familiarity with inventory accounting and financial reporting standards. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders. • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
