Systems Administrator
<p>Robert Half is seeking a <strong>Systems Administrator</strong> to support a<strong> healthcare organization</strong> based in <strong>Washington State</strong>. This role will focus heavily on <strong>CrowdStrike administration</strong>, <strong>Windows Server cleanup/migrations</strong>, and <strong>stabilizing ongoing network reliability issues</strong>. This is a <strong>3-month contract</strong> with the potential to extend or convert, depending on performance and team needs. The work is <strong>onsite / hybrid</strong>, with flexibility based on project phases.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Details</strong></p><p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Full-time, standard business hours</p><p> <strong>Duration:</strong> 3-month contract (extendable / contract-to-hire potential)</p><p> <strong>Location:</strong> Onsite/hybrid.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Own <strong>CrowdStrike Falcon</strong> deployment, configuration, health validation, and remediation</li><li>Perform a full <strong>CrowdStrike environment assessment</strong> and present findings to leadership</li><li>Troubleshoot and correct <strong>sensor issues</strong> on servers and endpoints</li><li>Diagnose and fix <strong>CrowdStrike visibility issues</strong> relating to data, SharePoint, and servers</li><li>Support <strong>Windows Server</strong> discovery, assessment, cleanup, and transition planning</li><li>Safely decommission legacy <strong>Windows Server 2008</strong> systems</li><li>Stabilize and troubleshoot <strong>GPO issues</strong>, DNS/DHCP problems, and authentication issues</li><li>Support environments running <strong>custom .NET and SQL-based workloads</strong></li><li>Investigate and resolve <strong>network issues</strong> involving WiFi, VPN, QoS, and firewall/VPN performance</li><li>Identify root causes of issues with SonicWall firewall, Aruba WiFi, ClearPass, and ISP routers</li><li>Assist with <strong>file share migrations</strong> into <strong>SharePoint / OneDrive / Microsoft 365</strong></li><li>Support ongoing <strong>365 ecosystem troubleshooting</strong></li><li>Collaborate with internal IT leadership to prioritize infrastructure projects</li><li>Provide general systems administration and ticket resolution as needed</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Job Requirements</strong></p><p><strong></strong></p><p><strong>1. CrowdStrike (Highest Priority)</strong></p><ul><li>Hands-on ownership of Falcon deployment</li><li>Experience with <strong>sensor deployment, troubleshooting, and configuration</strong></li><li>Ability to conduct an <strong>environment-wide EDR health assessment</strong></li><li>Understanding of <strong>EDR / NDR fundamentals</strong></li><li>Experience fixing <strong>visibility gaps</strong> on servers, SharePoint, or file systems</li></ul><p><strong>2. Windows Server Administration</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with <strong>Server 2008 → 2016/2019/2022</strong></li><li>Able to perform <strong>server discovery, assessment, and transition planning</strong></li><li>Comfortable shutting down/retiring legacy 2008 servers</li><li>Knowledge of <strong>GPO cleanup</strong>, especially in environments where past changes caused outages</li><li>Experience supporting <strong>custom .NET and SQL server workloads</strong></li></ul><p><strong>3. Networking Troubleshooting </strong></p><ul><li>SonicWall firewall + SSL VPN exposure</li><li>Aruba WiFi + ClearPass experience</li><li>Ability to diagnose issues such as:</li><li>Router interference</li><li>AP placement</li><li>WiFi calling problems</li><li>QoS misconfigurations</li><li>VPN inconsistencies</li><li>Ability to stabilize physical and logical network performance</li></ul><p><strong>4. Microsoft 365 / SharePoint / OneDrive</strong></p><ul><li>Experience assisting with migrations from file shares into M365</li><li>SharePoint 2010 cleanup/refinement experience is a plus</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot ongoing O365 ecosystem issues</li></ul><p><br></p>
