<p>We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure and Support Engineer to join a client in Providence, RI. This role involves managing and optimizing IT systems, providing technical support, and ensuring the seamless operation of network and system infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in systems and networking, alongside a proactive approach to problem-solving and technology implementation. This is a hybrid position, onsite 3 days a week. </p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage and maintain Active Directory, ensuring secure and efficient access protocols.</p><p>• Oversee system backups and recovery processes to safeguard critical data.</p><p>• Administer VMware infrastructure, including virtual machine setup and performance optimization.</p><p>• Implement and troubleshoot network routing and switching to ensure stable connectivity.</p><p>• Collaborate with the IT Manager to address and resolve technical issues effectively.</p><p>• Conduct system analysis to identify areas for improvement and enhance operational efficiency.</p><p>• Utilize Microsoft SQL Server for database management and reporting purposes.</p><p>• Develop and document business requirements to support IT-related projects and initiatives.</p><p>• Provide technical training and guidance to team members as needed.</p><p>• Monitor and evaluate system and network performance to prevent potential disruptions.</p>

• Proficiency in Active Directory management and configuration.<br>• Hands-on experience with VMware infrastructure and virtual environments.<br>• Strong knowledge of network routing, switching, and troubleshooting.<br>• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server for database operations.<br>• Ability to analyze systems and provide actionable insights for improvement.<br>• Experience with IBM systems or equivalent technologies.<br>• Skilled in creating detailed business requirement documents.<br>• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to IT challenges.
