Customer Service Representative
<p>Robert Half is looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our client's team in Portland, Oregon. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to support customers within the manufacturing industry by ensuring seamless order management and delivering exceptional service. The role involves coordinating with multiple departments to oversee customer orders from initial entry to fulfillment while proactively addressing any unique requirements.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Handle customer orders from entry to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.</p><p>• Utilize organizational systems to process orders, verify pricing, and monitor inventory levels.</p><p>• Communicate order statuses and updates with customers and internal teams effectively.</p><p>• Coordinate with various departments to facilitate on-site deliveries and address special handling needs.</p><p>• Develop a strong understanding of roofing products and industry standards to guide customers accurately.</p><p>• Build trust and positive relationships with customers and sales teams through clear and precise communication.</p><p>• Identify and suggest opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.</p><p>• Support sales growth initiatives by providing exceptional customer service and solutions.</p><p>• Resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.</p><p>• Collaborate with the team to contribute to overall business objectives and customer satisfaction.</p>
<p>• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably from a customer service role or manufacturing environment.</p><p>• Proficiency in order entry and management systems.</p><p>• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle inbound and outbound calls.</p><p>• Proven ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced setting.</p><p>• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address customer needs effectively.</p><p>• Familiarity with inventory systems and pricing verification processes.</p><p>• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.</p><p>• Demonstrated expertise in building rapport and trust with customers and stakeholders.</p>
