Purchasing Agent
We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team in Pompano Beach, Florida. In this Contract to potential long-term position, you will play a key role in managing procurement activities and ensuring the seamless operation of the purchasing department. If you are skilled in purchasing functions and familiar with systems like Sage 100, we encourage you to apply.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage procurement activities, including sourcing and purchasing materials to support business operations.<br>• Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently to meet organizational needs.<br>• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms.<br>• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely replenishment.<br>• Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions and vendor performance.<br>• Utilize Sage 100 software to track and manage procurement activities.<br>• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures within the purchasing department.<br>• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize purchasing processes.<br>• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration.<br>• Provide regular updates and reports on purchasing activities to management.
• Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a similar industry.<br>• Strong understanding of purchasing functions, including sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships.<br>• Proficiency in using Sage 100 software for procurement-related tasks.<br>• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.<br>• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor and team collaboration.<br>• Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in purchasing records and transactions.<br>• Ability to analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.<br>• Knowledge of inventory management practices and supply chain principles.
