We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Pleasant Grove, Utah. In this role, you will play a key part in managing essential accounting functions and ensuring financial accuracy. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in accounting processes and systems while working in a dynamic environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and post accurate journal entries to maintain up-to-date financial records.<br>• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.<br>• Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.<br>• Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets to support financial planning.<br>• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and reporting.<br>• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create financial reports and analyze data effectively.<br>• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.<br>• Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and answering inquiries.<br>• Monitor and improve financial processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.

• Proven experience in accounting with a strong understanding of journal entries and general ledger processes.<br>• Proficiency in managing month-end close procedures and financial reporting.<br>• Familiarity with budget preparation and administration, including data analysis.<br>• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.<br>• Solid experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) workflows.<br>• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve financial discrepancies.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks.<br>• Knowledge of accounting principles and standards to ensure compliance.
