We are looking for a skilled and organized Staff Accountant to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role will focus heavily on managing accounts payable processes, while also contributing to accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end financial close activities. The ideal candidate will bring precision and efficiency to high-volume transactions and possess relevant experience in the transportation industry. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices and payments accurately and within designated timeframes, ensuring compliance with company policies. • Assist in the preparation and recording of customer invoices and payments to maintain accurate accounts receivable records. • Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure financial data integrity. • Participate in month-end closing activities, including posting journal entries and preparing financial reports. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accurate financial documentation and streamline accounting procedures. • Maintain adherence to internal controls and industry regulations to uphold compliance standards. • Contribute to audit preparations and provide necessary documentation and insights to auditors.

• Proven experience with journal entries and general ledger management. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. • Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting. • Ability to manage high-volume transactions with accuracy and attention to detail. • Experience in the transportation industry is highly preferred. • Excellent organizational and communication skills for cross-department collaboration.
