<p>We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Data Scientist or Software Engineer with a strong academic foundation and hands-on experience developing scientific software. The ideal candidate combines deep STEM expertise with rigorous coding ability, and has a demonstrated track record of integrating, evaluating, and advancing scientific software systems.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Technical Skills</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Fluent proficiency in Python</strong> (required).</li><li>Strong ability to design, implement, and maintain <strong>scientific software applications and codebases</strong>—beyond general AI/ML model development.</li><li>Experience contributing to <strong>third-party or open-source scientific software projects</strong>.</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related STEM field <strong>with a research thesis</strong>, <strong>and</strong> significant enterprise or scientific experience; <strong>or</strong></li><li><strong>Ph.D. in a STEM discipline (strongly preferred)</strong>.</li><li>Demonstrated domain-specific expertise in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.</li></ul><p><strong>Professional Experience</strong></p><ul><li><strong>1–2+ years of mid-level professional experience</strong> delivering complex data science or scientific computing projects.</li><li>Proven experience <strong>integrating specialized scientific software</strong> into broader systems, including performance evaluations, benchmarking, and comparisons.</li><li>Hands-on experience <strong>building, evaluating, and iterating on end-to-end data science or scientific computing solutions</strong>.</li></ul><p><br></p>
