We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Pasadena, Texas. This is a Contract to permanent position, ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and a passion for delivering accurate financial results. The role requires working onsite and offers the opportunity to grow within the organization. Responsibilities: • Perform general ledger maintenance, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date. • Prepare and post journal entries to support monthly and yearly financial reporting. • Conduct reconciliations for accounts and inter-company transactions to maintain financial accuracy. • Handle corporate tax filings, including sales tax and corporate tax returns. • Utilize Sage Intacct for accounting tasks; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or Great Plains is also beneficial. • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. • Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing explanations for financial records. • Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and ensure compliance with regulations. • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support organizational goals. • Maintain a thorough understanding of debits and credits to ensure proper financial recording.

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a detail-oriented environment. • Strong understanding of general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations. • Experience with corporate and sales tax processes. • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, or Great Plains. • Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies efficiently. • Knowledge of inter-company accounting and related transactions. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
