We are looking for an experienced accounting specialist with strong attention to detail to join our team in Panama City, Florida, as an Assistant Controller. In this contract position, you will work closely with the Controller to ensure smooth financial operations and contribute to the company’s overall accounting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong financial acumen and hands-on experience to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Collaborate with the Controller to define responsibilities and enhance overall accounting processes.<br>• Drive improvements in core accounting workflows and support timely financial close and reporting.<br>• Review and assist with payroll-related accounting entries and impacts as needed.<br>• Maintain accurate financial records and reporting within NetSuite.<br>• Work effectively within a small team environment, ensuring seamless performance despite limited administrative support.<br>• Support audit preparation and ensure compliance with applicable standards.<br>• Contribute to time and expense billing processes, particularly in environments that require attention to detail.<br>• Partner with leadership to adapt responsibilities and provide strategic and tactical accounting support.

<p>• Proven expertise in accounting functions, including month-end close, audit preparation, and financial operations.</p><p>• Proficiency with NetSuite for financial record maintenance and reporting.</p><p>• Experience in services industries that require attention to detail, particularly with time and expense billing models.</p><p>• Strong understanding of financial reporting and audit procedures.</p><p>• Comfortable working in a hands-on role requiring both strategic and operational contributions.</p><p>• Ability to collaborate with leadership and adapt to evolving responsibilities.</p><p>• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to support a lean accounting environment</p>
