Accounting Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based in Palmyra, New Jersey, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential accounting operations such as managing accounts payable and receivable, billing, and reconciliation tasks. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a solid foundation in accounting principles to help maintain accurate financial records.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.<br>• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment tracking.<br>• Perform billing functions and resolve discrepancies to maintain smooth financial operations.<br>• Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.<br>• Assist with general accounting functions, including journal entries and financial reporting.<br>• Collaborate with team members to support monthly and yearly closing processes.<br>• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting activities.<br>• Provide documentation and support during audits or financial reviews.<br>• Communicate effectively with vendors and clients to address accounting-related inquiries.<br>• Identify opportunities for process improvement within accounting workflows.
• At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.<br>• Proficiency in billing functions and account reconciliation.<br>• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.<br>• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.<br>• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.<br>• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in financial processes.
