Sr. Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Orange Park, Florida. In this role, you will oversee key financial operations, including preparing financial statements, managing account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This opportunity offers a dynamic work environment with significant potential for growth in the transport industry.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Conduct monthly accounting close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and reports.<br>• Generate and analyze monthly consolidated profit and loss statements and balance sheet variance reports for management review.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to corporate accounting policies and provide support for special projects.<br>• Perform detailed financial analysis, identifying trends, performance metrics, and benchmarks to drive business decisions.<br>• Assist with quarterly reviews and audits, working closely with both internal and external auditors.<br>• Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.<br>• Continuously improve accounting and reporting processes through automation and efficiency initiatives.<br>• Participate in department-wide initiatives and contribute to strategic financial planning.<br>• Manage ad-hoc financial projects as assigned to support organizational goals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA credentials are preferred.<br>• A minimum of 5 years of general accounting experience, with Big 4 experience being a strong advantage.<br>• Proficiency in Oracle 11i or higher, as well as SAP S/4HANA systems.<br>• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.<br>• Familiarity with IFRS and accounting experience in publicly traded companies is a plus.<br>• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.<br>• Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple priorities independently.
