<p>We are seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel to join a mission-driven organization that provides policy, training, and wellness solutions to public safety agencies. This fully remote, full-time position focuses on negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements that help law enforcement, fire departments, and other public safety organizations reduce risk, improve operations, and support their personnel.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS subscription contracts, government procurement agreements, and licensing deals for an integrated platform.</li><li>Advise internal teams on contract terms, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring alignment with federal and state standards and court rulings.</li><li>Collaborate with sales, procurement, and product teams to structure agreements that meet operational and regulatory needs of public safety agencies.</li><li>Maintain and update contract templates and negotiation playbooks to improve efficiency and consistency.</li><li>Monitor changes in laws and regulations impacting SaaS and government contracting, and provide guidance to stakeholders.</li><li>Support contract lifecycle management and assist with resolving contractual disputes when necessary.</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p><br></p><ul><li>J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in California (or ability to register as in-house counsel).</li><li>3+ years of experience in commercial transactions, with a strong focus on SaaS agreements, government contracts, and licensing.</li><li>Familiarity with public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements.</li><li>Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.</li></ul><p>The ideal candidate is business-minded, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting public safety agencies through innovative legal solutions.
