<p>We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Accountant to join our team on a contract basis near Oak Brook, Illinois. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining financial integrity, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and collaborating with finance and business leaders to achieve organizational goals. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to enterprise-wide accounting projects and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes.</p><p>• Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with global accounting standards.</p><p>• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting functions.</p><p>• Ensure adherence to global accounting policies and assist with the adoption of new accounting standards.</p><p>• Support enterprise-wide accounting projects in collaboration with the Controller’s group.</p><p>• Coordinate external audit activities, including preparing financial disclosures and maintaining effective relationships with auditors.</p><p>• Utilize the Workday financial consolidation system to streamline reporting and accounting processes.</p><p>• Build and maintain strong partnerships with finance and business leaders to deliver innovative solutions to challenges.</p><p>• Provide leadership by promoting a culture of integrity, accountability, and excellence.</p>

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of general ledger and month-end close processes.<br>• Proficiency in preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.<br>• Expertise in using financial systems, including Workday and BlackLine.<br>• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups, for day-to-day financial analysis.<br>• Strong knowledge of global accounting standards and compliance requirements.<br>• Experience with external audits, including preparing disclosures and coordinating requests.<br>• Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.<br>• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building collaborative relationships.
