<p>We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Downers Grove, Illinois. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to global financial operations, drive process improvements, and collaborate with key stakeholders in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards while supporting enterprise-wide initiatives.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and managing month-end and year-end close processes.</p><p>• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with global accounting policies and support initiatives related to new accounting standards.</p><p>• Assist the Controller’s group in executing enterprise projects that impact the global accounting organization.</p><p>• Coordinate external audit activities, prepare financial disclosures, and maintain strong relationships with auditors.</p><p>• Utilize Workday financial consolidation systems to deliver enhanced reporting and operational capabilities.</p><p>• Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork within the accounting team.</p><p>• Collaborate with finance and accounting leaders to develop solutions for business challenges and drive operational improvements.</p><p>• Build strong partnerships with operating and finance leaders to support organizational goals effectively.</p><p><br></p><p>The salary range for this position is $40/hr to $45/hr. • Extensive experience with month-end close processes, journal entries, and general ledger management.<br>• Proficiency in account and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.<br>• Familiarity with global accounting standards and technical accounting principles.<br>• Prior experience supporting external audits, including preparing financial disclosures and footnotes.<br>• Strong knowledge of financial systems, particularly Workday or similar platforms.<br>• Proven ability to lead process improvements and contribute to enterprise-wide accounting initiatives.<br>• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across teams and departments.<br>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
