Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to support our health and wellness client on a 4+ month engagement. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting Operations, this consultant will assist with a variety of special projects within the accounts payable department. The role is individual contributor-focused but includes oversight of processes, periodic review responsibilities, and hands-on processing and accounting tasks as required. The ideal Accounts Payable Manager will offer fresh insights, recommend process enhancements, and support greater adoption of available software functionality. Responsibilities:• Identify and address issues related to accounts payable software implementation, ensuring optimal system functionality.• Audit accounts payable processes to maintain accuracy and compliance with company policies.• Manage the accounts payable inbox, ensuring timely responses and resolution of inquiries.• Review accounts payable accruals and prepare detailed financial reports for management.• Enhance travel and expense reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.• Compile and deliver metrics and management reports to provide insights into accounts payable performance.• Provide backup support for the accounts payable team, including managing pay cycles and clearing backlogs.• Collaborate with team members to suggest and implement process improvements.• Perform hands-on processing and accounting tasks as needed to maintain smooth operations.

• Solid understanding of general ledger and accounts payable processes.• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in all tasks.• Proven ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.• Prior experience with accounts payable operations and procedures.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Familiarity with large general ledger software systems; experience with JD Edwards is a plus.• Experience with accounts payable automation software is highly desirable.• Availability to work on a hybrid schedule, commuting onsite two days a week.
