Paralegal
We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Northbrook, Illinois. This role focuses primarily on providing support for family law matters, especially in managing financial affidavits and discovery processes. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented and possess excellent communication skills to ensure the smooth handling of case documentation and client interactions.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and review financial affidavits with meticulous attention to detail.<br>• Assist in managing discovery processes, including document collection and analysis.<br>• Collaborate with attorneys to ensure timely preparation for civil litigation and trial proceedings.<br>• Utilize case management software to organize and track case-related information.<br>• Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to facilitate accurate information exchange.<br>• Support the team in drafting legal documents and reports.<br>• Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with legal procedures.<br>• Perform administrative tasks related to case preparation and court filings.<br>• Research and gather relevant information for case development and strategy.<br>• Provide consistent and reliable assistance to attorneys during trial preparation.
• Proven experience as a paralegal, particularly in family law. • Strong understanding of discovery processes and document management. • Familiarity with civil litigation and trial preparation procedures. • Proficiency in using case management software and other legal tools. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively. • Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures in family law contexts. <br> The pay range for this position is $28 to $33 an hour. Benefits available to contract/contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
