We are looking for an experienced Functional Data Domain Lead – Investments to oversee the design, integration, and governance of investment data for a leading private equity firm. In this role, you will act as the key bridge between Investment, Technology, and Data Engineering teams, ensuring seamless data alignment with strategic investment objectives. This is a long-term contract position based in New York, New York.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead the design and implementation of systems for managing and reporting investment data across the organization.<br>• Collaborate closely with the Investment teams to identify technology needs and address challenges related to data analytics and portfolio management.<br>• Work with IT teams and architects to develop and deploy technology solutions that align with investment strategies.<br>• Manage the integration of investment data from multiple sources into a centralized platform to improve analysis and reporting capabilities.<br>• Stay informed about emerging technologies such as machine learning, AI, and cloud computing, and assess their relevance to investment processes.<br>• Contribute to the creation of a technology roadmap that supports the company’s long-term investment goals.<br>• Provide updates on project progress to stakeholders and maintain clear communication throughout.<br>• Identify potential risks in projects, create mitigation strategies, and work to ensure successful outcomes.<br>• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex financial data challenges.<br>• Utilize hands-on experience with querying and analyzing data using programming languages like Python or similar tools.

• Extensive knowledge of investment data management and reporting processes, with at least 12 years of relevant experience.<br>• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL processes, along with experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Snowflake.<br>• Strong expertise in data warehousing, data governance, and business intelligence (BI) systems.<br>• Familiarity with advanced technologies, including statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization tools.<br>• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines effectively.<br>• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to ensure alignment across teams.<br>• Hands-on experience with business intelligence and data warehousing initiatives.<br>• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
