We are looking for an experienced Functional Data Domain Lead – Investments to oversee the design, governance, and enablement of high-quality investment data across the enterprise. This role will work closely with business, actuarial, finance, and technology teams to ensure data integrity and effective use for analytics, reporting, and strategic decision-making. This is a long-term contract position based in New York, New York.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee end-to-end management of investment data, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.<br>• Collaborate with actuarial, finance, and business teams to identify data requirements and address challenges across the investment lifecycle.<br>• Partner with IT, data engineering, and architecture teams to design scalable and efficient data solutions aligned with business objectives.<br>• Define and implement robust data standards, governance policies, and quality frameworks for investment data domains.<br>• Develop and maintain a technology and data roadmap to support future business capabilities, reporting, and analytics needs.<br>• Work with analytics and reporting teams to enable actionable insights and ensure consistency in metric definitions across products and portfolios.<br>• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data management, such as AI, predictive analytics, and cloud platforms.<br>• Communicate progress, milestones, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders across business and technology teams.<br>• Utilize strong problem-solving skills to interpret complex investment data and support data-driven decision-making.<br>• Act as a subject matter expert in investment data, advising on areas such as portfolio performance, risk management, and financial reporting.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in data management, with a focus on the investment or insurance sectors.<br>• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL, along with experience in ETL processes.<br>• Hands-on expertise with data platforms and tools, including Snowflake, Spark SQL, and AWS.<br>• Strong knowledge of business intelligence and data warehousing concepts and tools.<br>• Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and compliance standards in the investment or insurance industries.<br>• Proven experience working with analytics and reporting teams to develop actionable insights.<br>• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively across teams.<br>• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
