(5+ yrs) Insurance Defense Paralegal
<p>We are looking for <strong><u>an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal with at least five years of relevant experience</u></strong> to join our team <em>(initially on-site and eventually on a Hybrid basis)</em> in New York, NY. This role focuses on insurance defense litigation and requires the ability to manage a high volume of cases with precision and attention to detail. As this is a Contract-to-Permanent position, it offers an excellent opportunity for long-term career growth within a dynamic legal environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Handle a caseload of 80-90 insurance defense litigation files, ensuring each case progresses efficiently.</p><p>• Prepare and manage discovery documents, including drafting and responding to requests.</p><p>• E-file documents in NY state and federal courts, adhering to all procedural requirements.</p><p>• Coordinate trial preparation activities, ensuring all necessary materials and evidence are organized and ready.</p><p>• Utilize case management software to track deadlines, maintain case files, and communicate updates.</p><p>• Collaborate with attorneys to develop strategies and execute litigation tasks effectively.</p><p>• Review and analyze legal documents to identify pertinent information for case development.</p><p>• Maintain organized and accurate records, including correspondence, pleadings, and evidence.</p><p>• Leverage available templates and resources to streamline workflows and ensure consistency.</p><p>• Monitor case progress and proactively address any issues to avoid delays.</p>
<p>• <strong><u>Minimum of five years of experience as a paralegal specializing in insurance defense litigation.</u></strong></p><p>•<strong><u> Experience with court filings in both NY state and federal courts.</u></strong></p><p>• Strong knowledge of discovery processes and civil litigation procedures.</p><p>• Proficiency in using case management software to organize and track case details.</p><p>• Familiarity with trial preparation, including organizing evidence and drafting trial documents.</p><p>• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned cases.</p><p>• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.</p><p>• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and correspondence.</p>
