IT Auditor
We are looking for a skilled IT Auditor to join our team in New York City, New York. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a critical role in assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of IT systems and controls, particularly those related to financial services. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in IT auditing, strong technical expertise, and the ability to adapt quickly to new concepts and environments.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Conduct comprehensive IT audits with a focus on systems and controls related to liquidity risk.<br>• Assess compliance with established IT governance frameworks, such as COBIT, and ensure adherence to best practices.<br>• Prepare detailed audit programs to guide the evaluation of IT systems and processes.<br>• Identify and document audit findings, including areas of risk or non-compliance, and recommend actionable improvements.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate IT General Controls (ITGC) and their effectiveness.<br>• Analyze and interpret complex IT environments within financial services to identify potential risks.<br>• Ensure timely completion of audit assignments and deliver high-quality reports to stakeholders.<br>• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging risks in IT auditing to refine audit methodologies.
• Proven experience in IT auditing, preferably within financial services or similarly complex industries.<br>• Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks such as COBIT and IT General Controls (ITGC).<br>• Demonstrated ability to prepare and execute audit programs effectively.<br>• Excellent analytical skills to assess complex IT systems and identify risks.<br>• Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.<br>• Ability to adapt quickly to new concepts and environments, with a proactive problem-solving approach.<br>• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or similar are preferred.
