Property Administrator
<p>We are looking for a dedicated Property Administrator to join our team in New Iberia, Louisiana. In this short-term contract to permanent role, you will assist in managing residential properties while ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining high standards of service. This position offers an opportunity for growth, with training provided for candidates who have minimal experience.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Collaborate with the Community Manager to achieve property objectives and maintain operational efficiency.</p><p>• Supervise property staff and daily activities when the Community Manager is unavailable.</p><p>• Meet with prospective tenants to showcase properties, explain leasing terms, and provide local area insights.</p><p>• Support compliance and certification processes by generating required reports.</p><p>• Oversee the collection of rental payments and security deposits to ensure accurate records.</p><p>• Conduct routine inspections of grounds, facilities, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.</p><p>• Investigate complaints, disturbances, and violations, resolving issues in line with management policies.</p><p>• Assist in scheduling and coordinating maintenance, repairs, and remodeling projects for residential properties.</p><p>• Maintain detailed records of property activities, including rentals, maintenance costs, and availability.</p><p>• Market vacant units through various channels, including advertising and leasing agents, to attract tenants.</p>
• Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred.<br>• Familiarity with Yardi software or similar property management platforms.<br>• Strong communication skills for interacting with tenants, contractors, and staff.<br>• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Knowledge of local building codes and property regulations is advantageous.<br>• Proficiency in conflict resolution and negotiation techniques.<br>• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.<br>• Basic understanding of marketing strategies for promoting rental properties.
