This contract position offers an opportunity to lead financial operations for a nonprofit organization, ensuring effective management of budgets, reporting, and grant-related processes, specifically related to HUD guidelines. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial analysis and a strong understanding of nonprofit accounting practices. Responsibilities:• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.• Manage the organization’s annual budget, including planning, execution, and monitoring.• Lead the month-end closing process to finalize financial records and reports.• Develop detailed cash flow forecasts to support organizational decision-making.• Ensure proper administration and accounting of grants, including compliance with HUD guidelines.• Coordinate grant drawdowns while adhering to organizational and funding requirements.• Provide strategic guidance on budget processes to align with the nonprofit’s goals.• Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations.• Monitor and improve financial reporting systems to enhance efficiency and transparency.

• Proven experience in nonprofit financial management, including grant accounting and administration. • Strong knowledge of annual budget preparation and monitoring. • Expertise in month-end closing processes and financial reporting. • Familiarity with HUD regulations and grant compliance requirements. • Ability to develop and manage cash flow forecasts effectively. • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail. • Proficiency in financial systems and software. • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to engage with teams and stakeholders.
