We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Accountant to join our client's team in Southern Indiana. In this role, you will oversee comprehensive accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. You will also play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis and reporting. Responsibilities:• Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, and tax filings.• Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor work-in-progress (WIP) accounts.• Provide insights and support for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.• Mentor and guide accounting staff to enhance team performance and efficiency.• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline operations.• Ensure compliance with audit requirements and organizational policies.• Maintain and oversee accounting systems to ensure data integrity and reliability.• Collaborate with management to support strategic financial initiatives.

• Proven experience in full-cycle accounting operations, including month-end close and general ledger management.• Strong knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.• Expertise in managing work-in-progress (WIP) accounting is required.• Familiarity with preparing consolidated financial statements and handling tax filings.• Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.• Ability to mentor and develop accounting staff effectively.• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on process improvement.• CPA Required
