Collections Specialist
We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team in New Albany, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for managing both commercial and consumer collections while ensuring efficient credit and billing processes. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization and develop your expertise in collections.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Handle commercial and consumer collections with professionalism and accuracy.<br>• Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts to secure timely payments.<br>• Maintain detailed records of collection activities and customer interactions.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.<br>• Analyze credit data and payment histories to assess account risks.<br>• Implement effective collection strategies to reduce outstanding balances.<br>• Communicate with customers to negotiate payment plans and resolve issues.<br>• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations during collection activities.<br>• Prepare regular reports on collection performance and account statuses.<br>• Assist in improving processes to enhance efficiency in collections.
• Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.<br>• Strong knowledge of credit and billing collection processes.<br>• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.<br>• Ability to analyze financial data and payment histories effectively.<br>• Proficiency in relevant software and systems used for collections.<br>• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.<br>• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to collections.<br>• Capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
