We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team in Mundelein, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a key role in guiding the transition from on-premises infrastructure to Azure cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud migration and integration, coupled with strong collaboration skills to support the internal IT team.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee the migration of systems and applications from on-premises infrastructure to the Azure cloud platform.<br>• Integrate on-premises Active Directory with Microsoft Entra ID to ensure seamless functionality.<br>• Develop and implement a cloud-first infrastructure strategy tailored to organizational needs.<br>• Collaborate closely with IT team members, including Digital Solutions Architects, Network Technicians, and Help Desk staff, to ensure project success.<br>• Provide support for legacy system integration as part of the cloud migration process.<br>• Offer guidance on best practices for cloud operations and educate internal teams on Azure functionalities.<br>• Evaluate existing systems and recommend optimizations to enhance performance and security.<br>• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Active Directory and Azure cloud services.<br>• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards throughout the migration process.

• Proven experience in Azure cloud migration and implementation.<br>• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Azure Active Directory.<br>• Expertise in integrating on-premises Active Directory with cloud-based solutions.<br>• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, although scripting is not a core requirement.<br>• Strong understanding of cloud engineering and cloud operations.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server environments.<br>• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.<br>• Ability to provide strategic guidance and technical support during complex migration projects.
