Senior Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Mt Laurel, New Jersey. This long-term contract position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in sales and use tax and great attention to detail. If you excel in financial analysis and enjoy working with advanced tools like Microsoft Excel, we encourage you to apply.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and manage all aspects of sales and use tax compliance, including filing returns and reconciling accounts.<br>• Conduct detailed tax research to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to address tax-related inquiries and provide guidance.<br>• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and create comprehensive reports.<br>• Support audits by gathering documentation and providing accurate records.<br>• Maintain accuracy in financial reporting while identifying opportunities for process improvement.<br>• Develop and implement strategies to minimize tax liabilities.<br>• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.<br>• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities as needed.<br>• Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing tax processes.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on sales and use tax.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data analysis.<br>• Strong knowledge of state and federal tax regulations.<br>• Ability to conduct tax research and apply findings effectively.<br>• Experience in preparing and filing tax returns with attention to detail.<br>• Excellent organizational and communication skills.<br>• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tax compliance.<br>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
