We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager with over 10 years of expertise in accounting and finance to join our team on a contract basis. Situated in Moonachie, New Jersey, this role offers the opportunity to oversee diverse financial operations within a light manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a hands-on approach and demonstrate strong leadership skills while collaborating effectively across departments. Responsibilities: • Manage financial reporting processes, including accounts payable, credit collections, chargebacks, and e-commerce accounts. • Oversee monthly close procedures, including journal entries and financial statement preparation, working closely with the VP of Finance. • Monitor automated accounts payable systems and ensure smooth transactions and exchanges. • Serve as a liaison between accounting and sales, auditing monthly commission reports and providing insights. • Provide guidance and mentorship to entry level accounting staff to enhance team performance. • File monthly sales tax liabilities and coordinate with Avalara for journal entries and approvals. • Evaluate and manage debt expectations, accounts payable, and credit processes. • Collaborate with the credit manager to oversee open accounts receivable, credit holds, and debt-related cases. • Conduct research and analysis to support decisions on credit releases and account restrictions. • Maintain accurate cash forecasting and ensure timely reconciliations of accounts.

• Minimum of 10 years of accounting and finance experience in a managerial role. • Expertise in financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit collections. • Proficiency in month-end close procedures, journal entries, and financial statement preparation. • Familiarity with automated accounts payable systems and tools such as SAP Business One. • Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and advise entry-level staff. • Experience with sales tax filing and using Avalara for journal entry approvals. • Ability to analyze and manage credit processes effectively, including accounts receivable and debt cases. • Solid organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach to managing financial operations.
