Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Middleton, Wisconsin. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and supporting overall financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process and manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions with accuracy.<br>• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure financial data integrity.<br>• Prepare and post journal entries to support monthly and annual closing processes.<br>• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify and balance financial records.<br>• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial accounts promptly.<br>• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management review.<br>• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications as needed.<br>• Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and workflows.<br>• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.<br>• Strong understanding of journal entries and their role in financial reporting.<br>• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.<br>• Familiarity with accounting principles and financial regulations.<br>• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.<br>• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.<br>• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
