SEO Specialist
<p>Robert Half is seeking an experienced SEO Specialist to support a key government client with a focused quarterly analytics project. The consultant will analyze three months of performance data using GA4, Google Search Console, and SEMrush, then translate those findings into a refined, executive-ready Quarterly SEO Report. This role requires a strong grasp of technical and content SEO, exceptional writing skills, and experience supporting structured or regulated environments preferably within government, public sector, or large enterprise ecosystems.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>SEO & Traffic Performance Analysis (GA4)</strong></p><ul><li>Review three months of website activity to assess organic traffic trends</li><li>Analyze branded vs. non-branded behavior and cross-channel influence (Direct, Referral, Organic Social)</li><li>Identify movement patterns and emerging performance themes</li></ul><p><strong>Search Visibility Evaluation (Google Search Console)</strong></p><ul><li>Surface top gaining and declining queries</li><li>Review page-level ranking, impression, and CTR performance</li><li>Provide insights related to seasonality, testing cycles, or content shifts</li></ul><p><strong>Backlink Health Assessment (SEMrush)</strong></p><ul><li>Evaluate new and lost backlinks, authority strength, and relevance</li><li>Assess link quality across .gov, .edu, .org, and high-authority domains</li><li>Identify toxic/spam indicators and propose mitigation or outreach strategies</li></ul><p><strong>Technical SEO Review (SEMrush Site Audit)</strong></p><ul><li>Analyze site indexing, crawlability, and structural SEO foundations</li><li>Summarize Core Web Vitals, mobile performance, and page-level technical health</li><li>Identify structural gaps such as missing H1s, thin content, or hreflang inconsistencies</li></ul><p><strong>RootIQ & Insight Synthesis</strong></p><ul><li>Identify 3–5 major performance signals</li><li>Conduct root-cause analysis to clarify drivers of traffic and visibility changes</li><li>Translate findings into clear implications and prioritized recommendations</li></ul><p><strong>Quarterly SEO Report Development</strong></p><ul><li>Produce a polished, branded report suitable for government-level stakeholders</li><li>Present narrative insights, trend analysis, and visual summaries (charts/tables)</li><li>Deliver clear, actionable recommendations for next-quarter strategy</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Advanced hands-on experience with GA4, Google Search Console, and SEMrush</li><li>Strong ability to interpret data and translate findings into meaningful recommendations</li><li>Proven experience producing structured, client-facing SEO or analytics reports</li><li>Exceptional written communication and attention to detail</li><li>Comfortable working independently, managing deadlines, and producing high-quality deliverables</li><li>Familiarity with government, education, or large public-sector digital environments is highly desirable</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Deliverable Expectations</strong></p><p>The final output will be a comprehensive Quarterly SEO Report that summarizes three months of performance across traffic, search visibility, backlink health, and technical site conditions. The report should provide a clear, strategic narrative supported by visuals and prioritized recommendations. It should offer more depth and direction than a monthly update while remaining streamlined compared to a full annual audit.</p>
