Network Security Administrator
Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network and security systems across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in network infrastructure, virtualization, and security, and will be a proactive problem-solver with strong documentation and communication skills. <br> Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage WAN/LAN environments using Cisco, Meraki, or equivalent technologies. Configure and maintain network infrastructure including firewalls, IPS, routers, switches, load balancers, and monitoring tools. Implement and manage network security solutions across endpoints, servers, cloud platforms, email systems, and XDR environments. Administer and optimize Wi-Fi networks with multi-band and multi-network capabilities, including key rotation and performance monitoring. Manage Windows Server environments with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V. Lead the implementation and support of VoIP systems, ensuring traffic prioritization and quality of service. Create and maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation for planning and troubleshooting. Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions based on business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to support IT initiatives. Stay current with emerging technologies and leverage documentation and online resources to learn new systems. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to entry level staff.
Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in a multi-location WAN/LAN environment. Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and security protocols. Proven experience with endpoint, server, cloud, and email security. Expertise in Wi-Fi technologies and network monitoring. Advanced skills in Windows Server administration and virtualization. Experience with VoIP systems and traffic management. Ability to visualize and solve complex technical problems. Proficiency in creating network documentation and diagrams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team setting. Flexible and dependable with a commitment to quality. Special Requirements: Ability to stoop, reach, walk, sit, and stand for extended periods. Capable of climbing ladders and moving fixtures. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Clear speaking voice for effective communication in person and via telephone. Special Conditions: Must work in a non-smoking and confidential environment.
