We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Marion, Texas. In this role, you will oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate invoice management, timely payments, and adherence to company standards. Responsibilities: • Accurately review, verify, and process invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval prior to payment. • Manage various payment methods, including checks and electronic transfers, in compliance with company policies and schedules. • Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable ledger accounts and address discrepancies identified during audits. • Maintain organized and accurate financial records to support reporting and auditing requirements. • Process employee expense reimbursements while ensuring compliance with company policies. • Ensure all accounts payable activities adhere to regulatory and procedural requirements, including tax compliance and recordkeeping. • Collaborate with management to identify improvements in accounts payable processes and implement efficiency solutions. • Foster and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure seamless communication and resolution of payment issues. • Support audit preparation by providing necessary documentation and reports. • Work closely with internal departments, such as procurement and finance, to ensure smooth workflow and communication.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role, preferably in the utility or service-based industry. • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in accounting or finance is preferred. • Proficiency in accounting software, such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar platforms, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to ensure accuracy in financial data management. • Proven ability to resolve discrepancies and handle unexpected financial challenges effectively. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors, colleagues, and management teams. • Familiarity with regulatory requirements specific to accounts payable in the utility industry is advantageous. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support efficient and accurate financial processes.
