We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this contract role, you will play a critical part in overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with reporting standards. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering accurate financial results.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Collaborate with the Hotel Controller and senior finance leadership to align operational strategies with financial requirements.<br>• Ensure the preparation and accuracy of all financial reports, meeting the expectations of corporate offices and ownership.<br>• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard organizational assets while delivering timely financial statements to stakeholders.<br>• Assist in maintaining compliance by managing insurance coverage, renewing contracts, and obtaining necessary permits.<br>• Oversee the finance division team, providing support and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiencies and internal controls.<br>• Partner with hotel operations to manage payroll costs and expenses with a focus on guest satisfaction and operational excellence.<br>• Contribute to the development of annual business plans, financial budgets, and capital budgets in collaboration with leadership.<br>• Lead the preparation of monthly Profit & Loss and financial statements by ensuring accurate journal entries and corrections.<br>• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and review results with relevant stakeholders.<br>• Support governmental reporting requirements and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Proven experience with month-end close processes and general ledger management.<br>• Strong expertise in preparing and posting journal entries.<br>• Proficiency in account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.<br>• Demonstrated ability to manage financial reporting with attention to accuracy and detail.<br>• Knowledge of internal controls and compliance practices.<br>• Effective leadership and team management skills.<br>• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.<br>• Experience in budgeting and financial planning processes.
