Sr. Accountant
We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to contribute to the financial operations of a healthcare organization based in Los Angeles, California. This contract position offers the opportunity to engage in complex accounting tasks, including consolidation across multiple entities, year-end processes, and audit preparation. The role requires someone who is detail oriented, adept at handling detailed financial reporting, and able to collaborate with leadership in a dynamic environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage the consolidation of financial data across 10 entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.<br>• Assist with the year-end closing process, including preparing schedules, reconciliations, and audit deliverables.<br>• Create and review financial statements in alignment with U.S. accounting standards.<br>• Oversee intercompany accounting activities and eliminations to maintain proper records.<br>• Execute monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses to support financial reporting.<br>• Ensure timely and precise financial reporting for the U.S. subsidiary.<br>• Collaborate with leadership and external auditors to facilitate audits and financial reviews.<br>• Participate in meetings with executive leadership to provide insights and updates on financial matters.<br>• Maintain a high level of detail and organization while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.<br>• Support ongoing improvements to accounting processes and reporting systems.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience.<br>• Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting standards and principles.<br>• Experience with year-end close processes and audit preparation.<br>• Familiarity with multi-entity or consolidated accounting environments.<br>• Previous exposure to healthcare or hospital accounting is highly desirable.<br>• Background in working with audit engagements, either in public accounting or audit-facing industry roles.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.<br>• Proficiency in managing month-end close activities, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations.
